Port St. Lucie is a great place to live year-round. The area boasts plenty of sunshine and mild winters, making it an ideal destination for those seeking an active lifestyle.
If you like golf, walking trails, or just spending time in the backyard, it’s perfect. You’re also close to beaches and tons of open space to enjoy.
The community is friendly and welcoming, and you can find clubs and events catering to a wide range of interests. You also have communities like PGA Verano offering a great range of amenities to ensure an active and enjoyable life.
Should I build new or buy resale?
It depends on your timeline, budget, and flexibility.

What do HOA fees usually include?
Communities like PGA Verano have HOAs that charge fees that cover various services and amenities. Services and amenities in PGA Verano include clubhouse access, cable and internet, lawn care, gated security, reserve funds, and more.
HOA fees in PGA Verano range from $500 to $650 per month, depending on the section and type of home. However, fees may vary in different HOA communities in Port St. Lucie. It is also important to note that HOA fees increase over time.
Is PGA Verano the right fit for me?
Many buyers are interested in how to move to PGA Verano. Some may also have an interest but are unsure if it’s right for them. PGA Verano is a great fit if you’re seeking a resort-style community and a low-maintenance lifestyle. While it isn’t exclusive to residents aged 55 and above, it is primarily a community for active adults. It also features a section exclusive to those 55 and older.
PGA Verano is popular among active adults, retirees, and individuals seeking a community that strikes a balance between relaxation and connection. I live in PGA Verano and am very familiar with the community. However, there are many other Port St. Lucie communities to consider. You can always reach out if you’d like to know more.
Are 55+ communities too 'retired' for me?
Not at all. These communities aren’t sleepy or stiff; they’re vibrant, social, and active.
Most of my clients are in their 50s to 70s and enjoy clubs, pickleball, travel, and connecting with neighbors.
These communities offer amenities to help residents make the most of retirement. Port St. Lucie is also home to some of the top retirement communities in Florida.
What kind of active lifestyle resources can I expect?
Port St. Lucie is an excellent choice for those seeking an active lifestyle. You’ll find golf courses, scenic parks, hiking trails, and fitness clubs. If you live in a community like PGA Verano, you’ll also have exclusive access to its fitness center, pools, and athletic facilities. PGA Verano is home to one of the top private pickleball complexes in the state. It has 27 courts and lights for night games. Many of the residents enjoy the sport, so it is also always easy to find a match.
